The staff were so nice and friendly.

During our stay, we found that there was no cleaning service for the room. They only changed the trash and towels, which felt inadequate for a hotel experience. Additionally, the breakfast delivery system was frustrating, as they would knock until you answered, disrupting our mornings. It seemed like the hotel was still in a rough state, with a noticeable ceiling issue in our room adding to the discomfort.

i almost wrote a great review, but the breakfast was just unbearable and the staff didn't even bother to pick up our used breakfast baskets. plus, given the lack of cleaning services in my room, i expected a complimentary upgrade for my stay. it's atrocious how they treat guests here.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Kyoto Itoya Hotel Mon. The room was beautifully designed with a calm, spacious feel, and I appreciated the delightful balcony view over a quiet street. The staff were incredibly attentive, even helping me with my luggage upon arrival.

Had a fantastic 2-night stay in a Double Room! The location’s perfect, quiet yet close to all the action. Room design struck a great balance between modern and traditional Japanese. Only downside, the small terrace could use a bit of sprucing up for relaxing.

Just a top selection for a weekend break in Kyoto with great value for money. The espresso machine in the Twin Room was a nice surprise to kickstart my mornings. Rent a bike for a fun way to explore the area.

The Twin Room was super comfy with air conditioning and an espresso machine. Little things like the private bathroom and the large shower room made it feel special. Loved the quiet street view and nice amenities like pajamas and slippers. Breakfast in our room was a tasty treat every morning!

Incredible staff, incredible location, with the air conditioning keeping our Double Room pleasantly cool during the hot summer days and the in-room breakfast delivering delicious meals right to us each morning.
